An avid writer in her Tennessee high school, she didn’t publish her first book, Hating Self (Boo Black), until November 2024. Her B.A. degrees in Journalism and English from Carson-Newman University have fueled her penchant for sharing stories. She gained momentum with writing her books, Loving Self (Boo Black), Butterfly Blossoms (Rachel Bleu), Hurricane Helene Resiliency After the Storm, and her short stories, Homeless Again and It’s Only a Dream. However, interviews with Helene victims have lit a fire.As a guest on multiple podcasts, Rebecca is listed in the 2026 Marquis Who’s Who List and regularly appears on various podcasts. Rebecca enjoys spending time with her girlfriend and three dogs, Smokey (Pitbull), Chaos (Boston Terrier), and Rylee (Boxer).Authenticity, depression, suicidal ideation, abuse, racism, discrimination, destruction, and loss appear in each of her works. Although these topics are deeply disturbing, she writes to uplift and turn a bad situation into a positive outcome. For example, in Hating Self by Boo Black, she tells her truths about being black in an all-white town, but the chapters are written as lessons learned through her experiences. She didn't write to blame, but to help others overcome their own demons.Because living your truth is the greatest love story of all.· Hating Self by Boo Black, including Life poem by Rebecca Phillips – autobiographical, available on Amazon.com, Barnesandnoble.com, Noir Collective, and Firestorm Books in Asheville, North Carolina.· Loving Self by Boo Black, including Fearless poem by Rebecca Phillips – autobiographical, available on Amazon.com, Barnesandnoble.com, Noir Collective, and Firestorm Books in Asheville, North Carolina.· Butterfly Blossoms by Rachel Bleu – adult LGBTQ fiction, available on Amazon.com, Barnesandnoble.com, Noir Collective, and Firestorm Books in Asheville, North Carolina.· Dragonfly Passion by Rachel Bleu – adult LGBTQ fiction, date TBD 2026.· Short Stories by Rebecca Wells Phillips – “Homeless Again” and “It’s Only a Dream” (published on Reedsy.com) and unpublished, “The Divine Connection”.· “Appointment with the Grim Reaper” – written for author CJ Myers’ book, The Other Side of Fear, date TBD.Facebook: https://facebook.com/beckywellsphillipsInstagram: www.instagram.com/gaphill184240/X (Twitter): https://x.com/RebeccaPhi37526TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@rebecca.phillips53YouTube: www.youtube.com/@rebeccaphillips231 Substack: www.substack.com/@rebeccawellsphillipsThreads: https://www.threads.com/@gaphill184240LinkedIn: www.linkedin.com/in/rebeccawellsphillips/
