Just when you think you've won a victory, you realize that the seas are even darker than you thought.
Defeating the Faithful on Trinity, cleaning up the Fortress System, a territorial capital, was supposed to mean that we'd driven the enemy back. That'd we'd truly begun to cleanse our Empire of the traitors. Instead all we found was evidence pointing us to Gathahn.
To the Imperial Capital.
Racing home to find the heart of our nation in a state of chaos wasn't what we hoped for. Now we're stuck on a world that's far more hostile than our worst fears, a world where anyone might be a traitor, might be a zealous terrorist ready cause as much damage as they can before dying.
I had high hopes for victory when I found out just how many sons and daughters of the Empire were coming home to work the problem, but then I found out that an old enemy has returned, is helping to lead the Faithful here. The same woman who scarred me for life has arrived, a woman I prayed died on Last Stop years ago, a woman who killed someone who might have become a friend and mentor.
One way or another, I will do everything I can to end this. I will prove myself once and for all.
With the Aspect's blessings, I'll even live through it.
