A Love Story

A moment of destiny disguised as an ordinary day. Two souls met by accident, only to recognize a love older than memory. P.S.   Twenty-four years ago, Mary Jo, my wife of twenty years, died suddenly in front of me while we were on our first cruise celebrating a second honeymoon. She was only 43. Well-meaning friends would talk in platitudes about God, and I wanted to hear none of it, the emotional heartache was too horribly immense. My advice to those going through the dark night of the soul is to stay active doing something enjoyable. Reading, exercising, working, dancing, listening to music or enjoying the company of friends greatly helps and is much better than dwelling alone on the perceived loss which only worsens the pain.
